Guest staying at Ford Farm regularly comment on the peace, tranquillity, and abundance wildlife on the park. There are local walks straight from the lodges and the Wye Valley, Malvern Hills and Forest of Dean are all close by. The historic cities of Hereford and Gloucester and pretty market towns of Newent, Ledbury, Ross on Wye, and wider Cotswolds are also popular attractions with guests.

The Forest of Dean is one of the surviving ancient woodlands in England. A large area was reserved for royal hunting before 1066 and remains the second largest crown forest in the country. We recommend a wander of the historic streets and stroll up tiny alleys to find Ledbury’s array of independent shops. Homewares are a particular speciality, from interiors mecca Tinsmiths to the Nordic delights of Hus & Hem.n

Malvern Hills
The Malvern Hills are officially designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and are a famous beauty spot, with scenic views over both English Counties of Herefordshire and Worcestershire. The Hills run north/south for about 13km and overlook the River Severn valley to the East, with the Cotswold beyond. There are various walking routes, but we recommend starting at British Camp (WR13 6DW).n

Eastnor Castle is a magnificent Georgian Castle dramatically situated in the foothills of the Malverns, near Ledbury, Herefordshire and is surrounded by a beautiful deer park, lake and arboretum. The castle is still the home of the Hervey-Bathurst family and its lavish interiors contain medieval armour, fine art and a Gothic Drawing Room designed by A.W.Pugin.n
